@ 25 degrees of Pisces September 17th 2024 10:34 pm EST
Every sun season is filled with themes of the archetype of the zodiac that rules it and, in every season, there is a full moon in the opposite sign that balances the energy between the two by encouraging release work through these signs.
This sun season happens to have the first eclipse in Pisces setting off the eclipses that will be in Virgo and Pisces over an 18-month period. The thing is though, we aren’t yet done with the last series of eclipses in Aries and Libra having a solar eclipse in Libra October 2nd and a solar eclipse in Aries, March 29th. In between, we will begin to have eclipses in Virgo + Pisces and have the nodes officially change in January 2025.
So, consider today opening day for these energies to start paving divine pathways in our lives.
If you know your natal chart you can see where these energies will start to work, setting you on your true path. Those would be the houses you have Virgo and Pisces, everyone has this somewhere in their chart.
You can also just think back to June 2006- Dec 2007 when the north node was in Pisces last, as well as Nov 2015- May 2017 when the north node was in Virgo.
See what you were going though at the time, is there a connected theme with these timelines?
Whatever was going on during these times can give way to similar energy that may arise during the north node’s transit through Pisces between 2025-2027.
If you have your north node in Pisces, you will be experiencing your nodal return and if you have your north node in Virgo you will be experiencing your reverse nodal return. Both are significant and fate will be paying you a visit over this time period. If you are not sure what your north node is you can access that information here.
Now, let’s check out what energy Virgo brings to the table since we should really pay attention to this season as it is an energy that we will be working with for a while as it is moving into the south node of the moon.
August 22-September 21st, Virgo season is a time to plan and to do. It is a time to metaphorically and actually (if it pertains) can your goods. Your goods being what you have to offer to the community, your strengths, skills and gifts or actual herbs, vegetables and foods that nourish your community.
In order to do this, you need to have a method and discipline, you need to be organized and well-resourced as well as skilled. This is when we are regaining our balance, from the summer solstice, a time when we were going all out- action oriented. We are now going back towards the middle -where we are going more inward and reflecting once again, still while working and doing but definitely transitioning towards the season of release.
Virgo energy is about discipline, integrity and pure intentions. It is about serving from a place of wholeness, with the ability to create, mend, mix and match. It is knowing what you have and working with it. It is knowing how to hone in on organizing and systemizing the things that heal around us.
It is about learning with focus and teaching with precision. Keep scrutiny and self-criticism to a minimum, they will be easier to encounter at this time.
So, what does the energy of the Pisces Lunar eclipse actually look like? – what does it feel like?
It is also reminding us to..
Devote ourselves to our dream by taking it day by day through practical mundane magic.
Resist the fantasy.
Find clarity, seeing past any illusions that are holding you back.
Take practical steps to create your dream life, without expectations- sort of a lot like manifestation.
You need to identify the feeling of what you want, take steps to get it and be open to how the desired feelings will come to form.
First, what is a lunar eclipse?
A lunar eclipse happens when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow, creating what looks like no moon in the sky during a full moon. This was scary to the ancestors who came before a time when we could predict eclipses- because they thought the world was ending, going from consistency among the sky to uncertainty as to what was happening in their environment.
and what does that mean astrologically..
A lunar eclipse is like a full moon but super charged. It is a time where if we are off course in any way the Universe is known to course correct us in maybe, not so subtle ways, shaking things up, so that we get back on our path. Sometimes we make ego-based decisions and hang on to toxic relationships, draining jobs and make other life choices that really don’t suit us, and this is the time where the unexpected and maybe unwarranted things give way to happening.
In other cases, the events of an eclipse may be less harsh and may just provide an opportunity to have a rapid time of personal growth during a short 6 weeks. In the long run, if you are aware of the upcoming energy, you really can have a better ‘shot in the dark’ during eclipse season.
How?
-by having faith in what is happening- 'trusting the process'.
Back to the Pisces lunar eclipse..
We all have a dream of how we would like life to be. Since Saturn has been in Pisces, we have been met with the reality of how much it is or is not playing out this way.
This Pisces lunar eclipse is here to help us learn to lean into the natural flow of how our lives are unfolding. It is asking us to really listen to our inner most knowing, some call it God, some call it our higher self, some call it intuition and some think all of these things are individual things-
But in any case, – this energy is asking us to – “Be still + know”.
Be decerning as to what is now an illusion + what is truly what you want, because dreams and illusions are different things, then take the real-life steps towards creating the systems + routines needed.
And also, because Pluto is dropping back into 29 degrees of Capricorn for the last time (from now until November) in our lifetime during eclipse season, chances are the thing we are wrapping up in Capricorn + the lessons we’ve learned there are helping us start this next chapter that this Pisces eclipse is ushering in.
Major Astrological Aspects
This lunar eclipse is conjunct Neptune, doubling the already strong Piscean/Neptunian vibe of this lunation.
The overall vibe: natural flow and release of things, let go and let God.
Whatever has been falling away already up to this point is meant to.
Don’t push against the natural cycle of release. As the autumn leaves begin to fall away as will the things that weren’t meant to have a place in the next chapter. You cannot rake up the fallen leaves and paste them back on to the branches, and yet leaves will grow in their place again, different ones, at the right time.
Think of other times in your life where you weren’t ready to let something go, or you wanted desperately for something to work out by your standards and the sheer power of your will.
And think back to how it ended up.
What were some things that turned out better than you could have ever imagined because your will did not interfere?
We need to let go of expectations of exactly how something will play out at this time. We can NEVER know what lies ahead of us in exact concession or we wouldn’t be able to get there the same way.
Not knowing is the blessing here.
Being able to trust is the only way to receive what’s on the other side.
Realize that everything is always happening for you even if it doesn’t feel like that at times, this is especially apparent during eclipses when things seem to slip away without your ability to control it
-Trust in divinity, whatever that looks like to you, divine timing and following the flow without pushing too hard and swimming against the current.
What would it feel like if you knew undoubtingly you were getting what you wished for in a year, a month or a few days even-
How would you be showing up today?
What would your magnetism look like?
What would being around you feel like?
Dreams come true with practical work, yes, AND when you get out of your own way.
Here's to a new season, a new cycle, a new chapter in the story you're creating.
N.joy,
