New Moon in Virgo @11 degrees September 2nd 2024 9:55 pm

Overall Virgo season vibe:  August 22-September 21st is a time to plan and to do. It is a time to metaphorically and actually (if it pertains) can your goods. Your goods being what you have to offer to the community, your strengths, skills and gifts or actual herbs, vegetables and foods that nourish your community. In order to do this, you need to have a method and discipline, you need to be organized and well-resourced as well as skilled. This is when we are regaining our balance, from the summer solstice, a time when we were going all out action oriented. We are now going back towards the middle where we are going more inward and reflecting once again, still while working and doing but definitely transitioning towards the season of release.

At this new moon..

Major aspects:

Moon square Jupiter- you may be wanting to find your purpose or skills/gifts to share or how to share them at this time and may have been contemplating these things deeply over the past month while Mercury the ruler of Virgo was retrograde in both signs of Leo and Virgo.

Moon opposing Saturn- you may feel stifled with duty and obligations and feel unable to express yourself in the way you want to, trying to find a way to articulate the things you need to say when it comes to what you’re here to do and share.

Even though Mercury retrograde is over you may still be lacking the things you need to go forward with what you have been wanting to provide and share with others- and that’s okay. Timing is everything. This is a time to realize when you are being too hard on yourself for not achieving everything you thought you would’ve by now. Get your nervous system in check, Virgo rules your nerves and your gut. If you aren’t executing in providing your unique service at this time you need to get regulated. Figure out how, that is more important than checking boxes and to-dos. Don’t feel guilty about what you haven’t done yet. Let go of internal pressure. Focus on today, it’s enough, getting through today is what gets you to tomorrow.

Virgo New Moon questions:

  • What helps you feel grounded?

  • When was the last time you felt competent?

  • What is a tried-and-true system you have?

  • What are your skills that you wish to provide in serving your community?

  • What’s blocking you from sharing them in the way you’d really like to?

This new moon feels sticky, it doesn’t necessarily feel like a bright and shiny beginning, it feels more like a teacher calling on you to share what you did over summer vacation but you don’t have anything to share or your story doesn’t feel as though it measures up to the others’. Don’t do that to yourself. Have compassion and call the summer a wash if that’s what it was. If it was good but you feel you have nothing to show for it that’s ok too. You are your worst critic. Know that the energy was thick and wasn’t really easy for anyone. Take this as your que to prep and plan for future self-dysregulation and work on how you’re dealing with that. Get a therapist, take a yoga class, download a mediation app, go for a walk or just clean your surroundings for clarity. Just start by getting out of your own way with shaming and guilting.

Remember: planning for something is good but only if you’re chill enough to really  experience it.
