4/8/24 2:20pm EST @ 19 degrees in Aries
Major aspect of eclipse
Chiron conjunct solar eclipse (meaning conjunct the sun and moon)
Themes
Healing, rebirth and self-awareness will be the biggest themes. These themes can show up in a way that we may not expect because you cannot expect anything with eclipses- they are course correctors- you can, however, soften the impact if you are already leaning into awareness and making corrections on your own. How the season fairs will answer the question of “am I on the correct path?”
This energy holds great accomplishing power- after the eclipse and its shadow (about 2 weeks after) passes. Putting ourselves first in this situation is beneficial for the betterment of our lives. Aries is the decision maker and now is the time to answer the question what do you want? - and to go get it. Solar eclipses are linked to ultimate new chapters and transformative beginnings. This new beginning is in the area you have Aries in your natal chart. Great focus will be stream-lined here at this time and over the next few months. While others have been already greatly focused in these areas the last few months leading up to the eclipse.
Everyone might feel extra tired. Solar eclipses are know to block vitality (or the light/sun) so, the tired feeling comes with this force of nature. It is like the opposite of a new moon- leaving you feeling less ready to set intentions and hit the ground running which is why you want to reflect and go inward, waiting out the action until a few weeks when you are feeling more energized and ready.
If you have any planets (including sun and moon) or points (AC,DC,IC,MC) in Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn, especially from 14 degrees to 24 degrees you will feel it more so. We happen to have Mercury in Aries retrograde as well at this time creating more pause and review to the situation. It will pass and when it does (April 25th) you'll have had time to think about where you want to take action. Think of it as a sling shot suspended backwards frozen, until- SNAP! and then you are released forward into the new chapter.
This is the solar eclipse where the pushover inside of us comes to die and the graceful warrior is born. We are healing the part of ourselves that has not been able to stand up on its own, especially in the area this eclipse is happening in our personal charts.
In order to do this, you do not need to be brash or bullheaded, possibly not even forceful, just direct and certain.
What does a graceful warrior look like, you ask?
-this energy looks like “I don’t like that” “I like this”, “I am-”, “I will not”, “I don’t want to”, “I am going to-”
-essentially, (cue Fleetwood Mac) you can go your own way.
And it doesn’t matter who is coming or if anyone agrees or accepts what you are claiming.
Now apply this message to the collective and your personal life. We need the graceful warrior more than ever in both places. If we can show up with this energy, we can create. We can show up as we’d like, with conviction.
Current planets all painting the sky in Aries red: Sun, Moon, Mercury Rx, Venus, North Node
Signs most affected (sun, moon, rising, any planets): Aries, Cancer, Capricorn, Libra
Enjoy watching the solar eclipse safely and reflect on what the coming months have in store, never fearfully, especially not now with Aries at the helm.
Remember ‘She or he who is brave is free.’
